Tuesday Stir

-Fred & Farid often create interesting work. Think of the agency that lovingly hand-crafts things that transport you to different worlds. The newest work from their Los Angeles office for French luxury brand Longchamp does just that. “Trés Paris” is gorgeous and follows the story of two women experiencing Paris at 5 a.m. It’s certainly on brand, but the eight-minute film may feel a little tone-deaf and self-indulgent considering the state of the world today. This work would be perfect if it were, say, 10 years ago, when there was optimism (and, hopefully, we’ll get back to it soon enough). But we are living in different times, and this type of escapism may be a tougher sell.
