-Creative production studio Stept teamed up with outdoors brand Merrell to create TranSending. The film documents the story of Erin Parisi, a transgender woman training to climb the Seven Summits to promote awareness and visibility of the trans community (video above).

-Their own failure to act is one giant obstacle for agencies responding to racism.

-Former BBDO New York CCO Greg Hahn joined Canadian agency No Fixed Address to open a U.S. office called Mischief @ No Fixed Address. Hahn was part of a round of layoffs across BBDO in April, along with BBDO New York director of production David Rolfe.

-Collin founder and CCO Leslie Collin on feeling terrified, angry and sad.

-Adweek has been acquired by Shamrock Capital.

-Digiday shares confessions of an anonymous Black advertising exec, who tells the publication, “There aren’t [talent] pipeline problems; it’s just that there are still a lot of white people who don’t want to hire a person of color who would quite frankly kick their ass and do a lot better at the job.”

-Freelance digital brand consultant Danny Taliwah has some criticisms of the recent Nike ad “Don’t Do It,” calling it “borderline offensive and completely tone deaf.”
