-In a somewhat surprising move, struggling retailer JC Penney moved its account from mcgarrybowen to Badger & Winters. The AdAge writeup doesn’t clarify whether there was a review.

-GE Appliances, which sold to Haier 18 months ago, is also looking for a new creative agency.

-Meanwhile, State Farm will consolidate its advertising account with Omnicom.

-On the staffing front, FCB Worldwide hired Jennifer Hohman as global chief marketing officer.

-The Atlantic rebranded its in-house creative consultancy as Atlantic 57.

-This is a big stretch, but someone is claiming the Droga5 New York Times spot that ran during the Golden Globes looks a whole lot like … Daily News cover on Bill Cosby.

-RSA Films hired Michael Mann of Heat fame as its newest director.

-Production company Lucky 21 added Sailor Bear, the collective behind the acclaimed film A Ghost Story, to its directorial roster.
