-DDB Toronto launched a spot promoting the Volkswagen Tiguan via the story of a lovestruck guy whose own SUV has a few issues.

WPP hired auto marketing veteran Tito Melega as chief creative officer for its dedicated Ford unit, GTB.

-The Martin Agency welcomed back Chris Shumaker in the newly-created role of executive vice president, managing director, growth and CMO.

-Agency Giant Spoon launched a “Little Moments” back-to-school spot for HP.

-L.A. commercial production company Convoy Content launched today, led by executive producer Jared Christensen. Convoy Content’s directorial roster includes Fiona McGeeBenoit GabrielJoe Grasso and former Stun Spots directors (Convoy Content is backed by Stun Creative) Andrew De Zen, Cameron GadeNick Enriquez and Jay Karas.

-Ogilvy won a brief from the Department for International Development to promote U.K. exports.

-Digiday explains “Why e-commerce brands are flipping the script and opening brick-and-mortar stores.”
