-Austin brand design studio The Butler Bros. and animation company Buck launched “Mr. Seed” for the Clif Bar Family Foundation, promoting  SeedMatters.org.

-Norwalk, Connecticut-based Betty Advertising filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court today alleging Pepsi stole its human jukebox concept for its “The Joy of Dance” Super Bowl spot starring Janelle Monáe.

-Data-driven creative agency Rivet appointed Ian Mackenzie as executive creative director and Kim Farwell as senior vice president of strategy

-R/GA is launching a “Connected Design” practice, offering to help new and existing clients revamp their office space (for a substantial fee, of course).  

-Hate those omnipresent ads for mail-order mattresses? Bad news: they’re not going away anytime soon.

-Woman-owned independent marketing agency Rauxa appointed Evan Blittner as senior strategic planner, Debra Wolf and Lance Hayes as strategic planners. 

BBDO Atlanta creative director Stephen McMennamy worked with Capitol records and 16 other influencers as a visual artist to create a series of videos to help tease Beck’s new single “Wow.”

-Creative agency Madwell appointed Michelle Aselta as its first PR director.
