-For H&R Block, Deutsch debuted a new tagline, “Block has your Back,” and brand ambassador, Lisa, through a series of 10 ads. (Watch a 30-second spot called “Piece of Cake” above.)

-Marketing procurement expert Tina Fegent and The Drum Consulting’s Steve Antoniewicz mapped out the increasingly complex agency model for client-side marketers.

-PepsiCo is bringing brands Pepsi-Cola, Doritos and Bubly to the Super Bowl this year and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners is tasked with creating a 30-second spot for each.

-Zehnder Communications was named agency of record for the Ironman and Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series across all advertising, digital media and research and analytics. “Digital and social media are critical because of race registrations and updates on events taking place in multiple locations,” said Zehnder president Henry Chassaignac, “Zehnder developed a way to organize and consolidate the information then present it in real time.”

-Choice Hotels sent its $30 million creative account to McKinney following a review.

-Cheil Worldwide unveiled a new global website.

-Daren Rubins, former PHD U.K. CEO, and Liz Jones, former CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network’s business-to-business arm, launched executive search business Conker for the media industry, reports Campaign.
