True Love Waits, Everyone Else is Just Horny

By Matt Van Hoven

KMart’s clothing line Piper & Blue has created a line of sweatpants for women emblazoned with the line, “True Love Waits.”
5 Blogs Before Lunch (and yes, we’re aware it’s after lunch) reports that KMart was unaware of the Christian abstinence group, also named, “True Love Waits,” which was created in 1993.

More after the jump.

KMart reps say there was no intended message with the pants, regardless of the previously mentioned group.

“It was not associated with any group or any cause,’ said Amy Dimond. It was just a graphic put on the pants. Although the pants were not designed to make a statement, Dimond admitted that ‘there may be some (customers) who made the (abstinence association), but it was not the intention.”

Am I the only person who thinks it’s interesting that the line is printed on the upper portion of the pants? It’s like a weird, cotton chastity belt that at the same time points at the region of the body generally used for “true lovin’.”

Or you could look at it this way &#151 more often than not, sweatpants come after sex, and if you expect to get any while wearing them, you better be wearing some sexy undies. Well, maybe. I guess some people might find sweatpants a turn on.

A similar line for men has also been released. “True love waits at least until the third date” is set to be released in August. Ok that last part is fake, couldn’t resist.
