TracFone Sends $238 Million Media Account to Mediahub

Prepaid, no-contract mobile provider TracFone has appointed Mediahub as its media agency of record, ending its relationship with incumbent Havas Media.

Mediahub confirmed the appointment, but declined to comment further. TracFone has not yet responded to a request for comment.

The appointment follows a review, according to a source with knowledge of the process, but it is unclear if incumbent Havas Media participated. TracFone already works with fellow IPG agencies The Martin Agency and Weber Shandwick on creative and PR, so the appointment sees IPG agencies now handling the entirety of the TracFone account.


TracFone spent nearly $238 million on media last year and over $124 million in the first six months of 2020, down from a little over $148 million over that span last year, according to Kantar Media.
