Thursday Stir

-Last Saturday was National Ice Cream Day, and to honor the day, Rebel Creamery went to some of the saddest places to make ice cream lovers feel just a little bit better. Rebel Creamery’s bright and cheery sampling tricycle visited the DMV, urgent care, bail bonds shop and auto mechanic to prove that Rebel ice cream can make anyone feel better. The sad-turned happy moment initiative was created by agency partner TDA Boulder.

-Sonic Drive-In is doing its version of a celebrity menu hack with a new drink remixes campaign. JP Saxe, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson and Metro Boomin share their favorite Sonic drink customizations to beat the heat this summer. With thousands of unique drink combinations, the campaign is designed to invent their own remixes, like strawberries in your soft drink or Nerds Candy in your Slush. Just as the artists’ genres offer music for every fan, there’s a drink to satisfy every craving at Sonic, said the brand.

-Denon’s new PerL Pro campaign, by disruptive creative collective Madwell, is centered around the idea that one sound does not fit all. The technology creates a unique sound profile for each user and fits music to match it. Madwell made use of both CG and 3D animation to showcase the PerL Pros’ technology and employed subtle visual metaphors to express how each feature works. Additionally, individual auras for each “character” were created to show personalization and the result of producing your own unique sound profile to customize the listening experience.

-Sukle Advertising & Design has launched a new campaign for Great Outdoors Colorado’s “Generation Wild” movement, which aims to get kids outside and connected with nature. Sukle created billboards using actual elements of nature to create the billboard art. One execution is designed to attract native birds to the board. Sukle worked with a local bird store, Wild Birds Unlimited, to produce the idea using actual perches and food sources that attract birds.
