-If your team isn’t winning at a certain sport, it can be frustrating, so much so that you might just burst out in a fit. Hockey fans are particularly vocal about their team love and exasperation when things go bad, which is why Bally Sports TV and R&R Partners made the Bally Sports TV Screen Saver, which is definitely not a pool floaty with branding. It saves irate fans from ruining their TVs with a hurled remote control.

-Advertising helped boost consumption, but to save the planet, it may need to reverse course.

-Are the chicken sandwich wars coming to France? With Popeyes setting up shop in the country, the crispy fried competition is heating up.

-Edgard & Cooper is a pet food looking for market share, and its latest campaign from We Are Pi shows that pets truly are what they eat.

-There are plenty of brands out there that say they’re all about the consumer, but to truly be one is different, and marketer Jen Kling writes about those that are meeting consumers where they are.

-The American Marketing Association New York has announced the four leaders who will be inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame in 2023. This year’s honorees are: Dan Ariely, professor of behavioral economics, Duke University; Chris Capossela, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Microsoft; Amy Fuller, former chief marketing officer at Accenture; and Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing and communications officer, Mastercard. The 2023 inductees will be celebrated at the 2023 Marketing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on June 7 in New York.

-The PR Council has issued guidelines on ethical use of generative AI. The guidelines were developed by an ethics and standards task force led by Mark McClennan, general manager of C+C and Ethical Voices podcast creator, and Anne Green, principal and managing director of G&S Business Communications. The task force is comprised of ethics, technology, diversity and corporate reputation leaders across the PRC Member agencies. The guidelines are available here.
