-JWT Brazil is helping out the band AfroReggae while trying to curb the public urination problem during Rio’s annual Carnival with the “Electric Pee” project, which is essentially a special urinal that turns urine into electric energy to keep the AfroReggae’s music and party going. “This is how the mechanism works: the flow of urine is used as a source of energy to move the dynamo – a process similar to that of a hydroelectric power plant -, which uses liquid to generate energy. It is then stored in a battery that is connected to AfroReggae’s electric trio after it is charged. If people pee in the correct place, the music of the party is guaranteed for a longer time.
