-Priceline has agreed to buy Kayak for a cool $1.8 billion in cash and stock. link

-Saatchi & Saatchi/David&Goliath alum Victoria Heric has joined Bajibot’s new Santa Monica office as executive producer.

-Phoenix-based used car dealer DriveTime has appointed San Francisco’s Duncan/Channon to lead its advertising efforts. D/C will create and execute a new campaign, including TV and radio, that’s expected to launch in early 2013.

-Dallas integrated agency Revel United has been chosen as creative AOR for Marble Slab Creamery and Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream & Treatery.

-AKQA continues its global expansion by opening up a Tokyo office, which will service clients including Nike and Nissan. link

-Publicis Groupe-owned Rosetta has hired GroupM alum Grant McDougall as managing partner of its technology & telecommunications practice. McDougall will be based in Rosetta’s San Francisco office.
