The NAD Calls Bullshit On Wal-Mart

By SuperSpy

The National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau has said that Walmart’s ad claims that consumers can save $2,500 a year by shopping at the store is total bullshit. NAD took issue with the sentiment that the average household saves that much bread by shopping at the mega retailer and the inference that such a savings can only occur at Wal-Mart stores, and not other retailers. One reason the NAD pointed out that Wal-Mart couldn’t make such a claim was because the retailers operations routinely cause competitors to offer even deep discounts on their merchandise.

Ah, boy. That’s not even funny actually.
