The Engine Is Red just got a little greener.
The Santa Rosa, California-based agency hired Zach Winter as director of client partnerships. Winter joins the agency from The Hybrid Creative, a creative agency devoted to cannabis ventures, where he most recently served as managing director. Prior to joining The Hybrid Creative as an account manager in 2018, he spent five years as a communications director for Blu Skye Consulting.
In the role, Winter will oversee client acquisition efforts across all categories for both the agency’s Santa Rosa headquarters and its Minneapolis office, which opened last year. The Engine Is Red’s current roster includes cannabis-related clients Apothecarium, Barrett Farms, Chemistry, Daytrip and The Garden Society.
“Zach’s talent and experience is an enormous asset that can offer much to the ever-growing cannabis sector in Northern California,” The Engine Is Red founder and president Chris Denny said. “As we continue to grow in cannabis and hone our skills in the industry, Zach will help guide us through the complicated and nuanced space.”
