The Container Store Names Preacher as Its First Agency of Record

Specialty retailer for moving and organizational products The Container Store has selected independent Austin creative agency Preacher as its first agency of record, following a review which began last November.

The Container Store’s in-house team previously handled the majority of the brand’s creative. Media duties were not part of the review, and will continue to be handled internally.

Preacher will collaborate with the in-house creative team to launch the brand’s first omnichannel national brand campaign, introducing a new brand positioning across TV, OOH, print and digital.

“After a thorough selection process, Preacher emerged as the right partner to transform our messaging,” The Container Store vice president, marketing Felipe Avila said in a statement. “Their proven track record to develop breakthrough advertising and strong belief in collaboration matched our needs. We couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.”

“We’re thrilled to be selected to partner with the amazing team at The Container Store,” added Preacher founder and CEO Krystle Loyland. “Every day working on this brand has reinvigorated what we have found to be a latent love for what they have to offer–especially within our very own walls at Preacher. Storage and organization can seem like a straight subject, but there’s a whole world of emotion that exists underneath. Our collective team is going in deep and excited to share what we find.”

The Container Store spent over $16 million on measured media in each of the past two years, according to Kantar Media.
