TBWA\Media Arts Lab Parts with Global HR Director Karine Shahar

By Erik Oster

TBWA\Media Arts Lab global director of human resources Karine Shahar has left the agency to pursue other interests, an agency representative confirmed today. We’re told the parting of ways was completely amicable on both sides.

Shahar has served in the role for nearly six years. She originally joined TBWA\MAL as an HR generalist in August of 2008 and was promoted to HR manager in April of 2010 before being promoted again to her most recent role that December. Before joining TBWA, she spent two years as human capital manager of the Americas/HR corporate manager at French tech company Lectra. Prior to that she spent nearly three years as a creative and HR assistant at Ogilvy & Mather.

Shahar’s departure from the agency is the latest in a series of shakeups. Last month, TBWA\MAL promoted Brent Anderson to chief creative officer as Duncan Milner moves into a role as global creative president, and parted ways with executive creative directors Danielle Flagg and Julia Leach.

In September, chief strategy officer Rebecca Stambanis, executive creative director Jorge Calleja and executive director of integration Kaitlyn Wilkins all left after less than six months with the agency.
