TBWA Vet Leigh Baker Lands at ROAR

New York-based Publicis Groupe Solution agency ROAR appointed Leigh Baker to the position of executive vice president, managing director, responsible for integrating digital strategy with brand thinking and creative across the agency’s JPMorgan Chase account while also focusing on growing and developing ROAR’s capital, value proposition and people.

Baker joins the agency following a ten-month stint as business development consultant for creative collective Van’s General Store. Prior to that he spent just over two years with TBWA\Chiat\Day as head of account management, leading a department of 40 while serving as global brand leader for Accenture and providing management oversight for Bank NY Melon and beIN Sports Network. Before joining TBWA\Chiat\Day, Baker spent nearly two years with SapientNitro as digital global account lead, focusing on the agency’s Coca Cola and Mars accounts. Over the course of his career, Baker also served as senior vice president, group account director with for Publicis New York for three years, global brand director and board account director with Publicis London for six years and account director/account manager for TBWA London for two years, and has worked with clients including Nestlé, Beck’s, Pernod Ricard, British Army, Ocean Spray, Ferrero Rocher and Hasbro.

As Digiday notes today, the real significance of this move is that ROAR will now effectively share the JPMorgan Chase business with Saatchi & Saatchi thanks to the Publicis Communications rearrangement, with Baker playing lead on the account.
