Global creative agency Stinkdigital New York appointed Ben Hughes to the newly-created role of executive creative director, tasking him with leading the agency’s 50-person team across work for clients including Spotify, Google and Twitter.
Hughes arrives from B-Reel, where he has served as creative director since July of 2014, working with clients including Google, Facebook, MTV and Dropbox. That followed a yearlong stint as a freelance creative director and filmmaker for Cole Haan and Twitter. Before that he spent six months as a freelance creative director with 72andSunny, working on Google. Prior to that he spent a year as a creative director with West, working with various pre-IPO consumer technology clients. That followed over two years serving as a creative director with W+K New York, during which time he worked with such clients as Nike, Target, Jeep, Matador Records and ABC.
Global hybrid advertising and entertainment company Stink also announced the launch of Stinkstudios, “a specialized division that is already working closely with brands and agencies to distribute high-quality original content, offering strategy, creative and execution.” The content division purports to offer brands a non-traditional approach incorporating an “expert understanding of strategy and analytics combined with strengthened production equips.”
The new division will be lead by newly-appointed managing director, executive producer Daniel Scott-Croxford. “I am extremely excited to be part of this venture,” he said. “Like no other model our way of working allows us to collaborate closely with experts in their field, we have built a solid foundation with exceptional creative and executional resources. We have the freedom to work with the best talent tailored to each project for the most effective outcome.”
