Ogilvy North America’s recently installed chief creative officer Steve Simpson will serve as the first Annual Awards chair at the ADC’s, which we all know by now is turning 90 next year. Among the former Goodby partner’s duties will be to oversee the Advertising, Design and Interactive juries for the ADC Awards.
Joining Simpson as chairs for the 90th Awards gala include TAXI Amsterdam chairman/co-founder Paul Lavoie in the Advertising category, Venables Bell & Partners CD/partner Will McGinness in Interactive and former JWT ECD Wayne Best in Hybrid. Along with naming the jury chairs, the Art Directors Club is also tweaking the format in honor of next year’s event by reimplementing separate jury chairs for Illustration and Photography and unveiling the ADC Designism Award.
