Steve Mykolyn Adds Taxi Europe CCO Duties to Resume

By Kiran Aditham

Two weeks after Taxi showed Doug Jaeger the door, the agency announced that current North American CCO Steve Mykolyn will also take on the same post for its Euro operation based in Amsterdam. Mykolyn in turn will take over for his boss, Taxi chairman Paul Lavoie, who has been handling CCO duties since Taxi opened its Amsterdam office six months ago.

Shoot has dubbed Mykolyn a “modern Renaissance man” who’s got a journalism background, worked as a designer and was an “early mover” in the digital space in the 90’s before joining Taxi in November 2000. He tells the trade, “My approach has always been to foster a shared vision among smart, talented people and Paul has been a great champion of that. It’s really the key to success across disciplines and cultures and [Taxi Europe ECD] Maarten [Van Huijstee] and I have already begun to see results for our clients.”
