Spence Kramer No Longer Serving as Wunderman Thompson Atlanta CEO

After over three years as chief executive, Spence Kramer and JWT Atlanta have parted ways.

The agency confirmed that Kramer and the agency parted ways last month, but declined to elaborate further as to his next move.

“We can confirm that as of July 16, Spence Kramer is no longer serving as the CEO of JWT Atlanta,” an agency spokesperson said in a statement. “We wish him all the best in his next endeavor and thank him for his work in Atlanta.”

Kramer did not immediately respond to a LinkedIn message seeking comment.

It’s unclear if and when the agency plans to fill the chief executive role. Earlier this month, Wunderman Thompson hired Carrie Philpott from Huge Atlanta as president of the Atlanta office, as part of a series of North American leadership changes.

Kramer joined JWT Atlanta as CEO back in March of 2016, taking over for president, chief creative officer Perry Fair, who led the office for four years. He formerly held roles leading the Coca-Cola and Nike accounts at Wieden+Kennedy and as CPB’s first global managing director.

Fair recently made a big move himself, joining vape brand Juul as its first vp, global creative and design.
