SodaStream Names Allenby as First Global AOR

By Erik Oster

SodaStream appointed Allenby Concept House as its first global creative agency of record.

The agency will be tasked with creative, strategy, event productions, execution, influencer outreach, product placement and more in service of conceptualizing, producing and implementing campaigns for the brand.

Allenby has previously developed eight campaigns for the home beverage carbonation company over the past five years, working to position it as an “eco-friendly, wellness brand.” Among the highlights of the agency’s previous work for the brand, its “Heavy Bubbles” campaign won the Golden Drum Award for best online campaign this year, with last November’s “Shame or Glory” Game of Thrones parody spot garnering over 10 million views in 48 hours. SodaStream has also previously worked with Dallas-based agency Commerce House, who launched a brand repositioning campaign for the brand in August of 2015.

“SodaStream stands at the forefront of modern beverage consumption and we share the brand’s passion for promoting their environmentally-conscious products that help reduce plastic waste,” said Eli Peer (pictured), partner at Allenby Concept House in New York, in a statement. “We are delighted to continue working with SodaStream and leading the conceptualization of environmental, fun, impactful campaigns online and offline.”

“First and foremost, I thoroughly enjoy working with Allenby,” added SodaStream CEO Daniel Birnbaum. “They are risk takers, innovative, witty, and a whole lot of fun. Creatively, they always come to the table with something unexpected and spot on for the mission at hand. It is rare to find that combination of personality, creativity, and impeccable execution.”
