Washington, D.C.-based digital media marketing agency SocialCode has branched out with the official launch of a full-service creative agency called CodeCreative.

“SocialCode’s data, compiled from billions of dollars in spend across categories and targets, understood that content is the second largest driver of campaign results, only after audience,” SocialCode head of creative solutions Tom Lyons told AgencySpy. “As brands are spending more and more in social, they understand that having a partner with expertise across platforms & units can help them have the most optimized social advertising.”

The agency is focused on creative for social, Google, and Amazon platforms. CodeCreative is comprised of a team of 15, plus a freelance network, and is looking to expand with new talent, Lyons said.

CodeCreative has spent about a year working with existing SocialCode media clients in beta mode including Visa, ABI and Estee Lauder, as well as some assignments with clients outside SocialCode such as Marriott, CarGurus and Goop.

“We don’t set out to create single narrative messages. We look to create content that can flex across platforms and units,” Lyons explained. “We look to take content, whether it already exists or if we need to produce it, that is platform, unit, stage of the consumer funnel, and target specific.”

“Being able to leverage existing creative assets and having them quickly transformed into compelling social content that was both on brand and backed by consumer insights was the perfect fit for multiple recent Marriott International creative campaigns,” Marriott International global integrated marketing communication strategy lead, premium distinctive brands Mitzi Emrich said, adding that the agency was able to collaborate with Marriott on both “big picture strategic plans and quick-turn projects,” while approaching assignments with “a nuanced understanding of business objectives, target audiences and customer journey.”
