Six BBDO Shops Square Off in Twix Competition

Six BBDO shops recently squared off, creating a total of ten ads, in an attempt to find the perfect “Left Twix Vs. Right Twix” ad.

BBDO New York created five spots for the “Global Video Create-A-Thon,” including “YouTube vs. YouTube” (above), in which a representative for Left Twix and Right Twix square off on their respective sides of the screen. As the ad goes on, they each reach over to the other side of the screen to mess with each other in various ways like changing the language. Other participating shops include CLM BBDO France, Sancho BBDO Colombia, BBDO Germany and Almap BBDO Brazil. Naturally all of the spots have the absurdist approach typical of the “Left Twix vs. Right Twix” concept in common. A couple of BBDO New York’s efforts, “Minotaur” and “Music Video” venture into over-the-top musical territory, while CLM BBDO France takes a more meta approach with “The Romans.” We’ve included several of the efforts below, but you can head to Adweek for the rest and decide which one is your favorite.
