By Kyle O'Brien

Creative agency Sid Lee added eight new creatives to its Los Angeles office to bolster U.S. operations.

The agency hired Christina de la Cruz, Eric Molina, Juan Davila Morris, and Francisco Rojas as creative directors to help with new clients including Dos Equis, Sanofi Consumer Healthcare and Schwan’s.

“We feel lucky to enhance our future-facing creative team with such a great bunch of people. I look forward to being inspired by them and creating unexpected work that pushes the edges,” Cam Levin, who joined Sid Lee as its first U.S. CCO in late 2019, said in a statement. “As we further develop our presence in the United States, we remain committed to hiring the best creative folks in the industry. We are hugely excited to welcome these next-generation creatives to the growing community.”

De la Cruz (pictured above, right) and Molina (pictured, left) come to Sid Lee as a creative director team, de la Cruz following stints at BBH and Leo Burnett, and Molina as a freelancer for Yahoo and agencies including Momentum, Ogilvy and R/GA. The duo has worked together for clients including Airbnb, Apple, Facebook, Nike, TikTok and Volvo. Over the course of their careers, they have earned recognition and awards from Cannes, the Clio Awards, The One Show and others. In a statement, the creative team said they looked forward to building a team that reflects and celebrates different cultures, interests, and passions while creating work that is both resonant and important.

Morris (pictured, left) and Rojas (pictured, right) join Sid Lee from David & Goliath, where they worked on campaigns such as Coca-Cola’s “Taxi of Movement,” Donate Life’s “Second Chances” and Miller Lite’s “Cantroller.” The duo has received recognition from Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, D&AD Awards, New York Festivals and The One Show.

Greg Plater and Gaeun Oh were hired as art directors, and Victoria Bonhomme and Christian Ianniello as copywriters. Plater and Bonhomme, and Oh and Ianniello will work as separate creative teams.

While new to the industry, Plater and Bonhomme bring unique backgrounds and perspectives to the agency. Plater played professional basketball overseas before working with several tech startups, including Omada Health and Palm. Bonhomme graduated pre-med before deciding to pursue photography and, ultimately, advertising. According to a statement from Sid Lee, the duo arrive with an understanding of the significance of their perspective as a Black creative team in advertising as they seek to inspire the next generation of marginalized creatives and help Sid Lee shape its future.

Gaeun and Ianniello come from Havas, New York, where they worked across various disciplines for clients including Keurig, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and Rite Aid. They most recently completed a Keurig campaign featuring James Corden and Reggie Watts.
