Saying Goodbye to Pepsi

Cie Nicholson, Pepsi-Cola North America’s senior VP-Chief Marketing Officer, is leaving.

An article in Adage, says that Nicholson, who oversaw around $250 million in U.S. measured-media spending last year, is leaving to “pursue other interests, like travel and spending time with family.” So far there is no date set for her departure.

The article also mentions her quick rise to the top after joining the company in 1997. She took on the position of Sr. VP, Chief Marketing Officer in 2005. Pepsi-Cola North America’s measured media spending has dropped off significantly in the past five years, down 39% to $254.4 million, according to TNS Media Intelligence. BBDO NY is the AOR.
