SarkissianMason Trims Staff

By Kiran Aditham

If our archives are any indication, the last time we heard anything directly pertaining to New York-based digital agency SarkissianMason was nearly two years ago when it was named AOR for eMusic. Well, guess now is as good a time as any to get an update and from what we’ve been told, the shop has had to cut some staff.

While tipsters offer their usual doomsday numbers (in SM’s case, we’re hearing that the cuts will leave just a “skeleton crew of managers” by month’s end), the agency’s co-namesake/”chief architect” Patrick Sarkissian gives us what seems like a far less severe answer, saying that “we trimmed our staff by three to make room for some new talent with different skill sets we are bringing in.” We’re checking to see what SarkissianMason’s actual headcount is at this point, but the agency has recently won work from Revlon and Zappos. (Update: Current SM staff count, including full-time and freelance, is 40).
