Saatchi & Saatchi went through a round of layoffs across its Dallas and Los Angeles offices last week, according to sources with knowledge of the agency’s operations.
It’s understood that Saatchi & Saatchi’s New York office was not part of the round of layoffs last week, and unclear how many were impacted by the staff cuts. Saatchi & Saatchi declined to comment.
The news follows a series of layoffs across Publicis Groupe agencies in the U.S. earlier this month, including Digitas and Publicis Sapient. Publicis Communications East agencies Second Story and Rokkan also went through staffing reductions as a result of being realigned within Razorfish. Ad Age reported that Arc Worldwide, Epsilon, Hawkeye and Spark Foundry went through rounds of layoffs as well. That followed news earlier that week that Publicis Groupe agency BBH laid off around 20% of staff across its New York and Los Angeles offices.
