Saatchi & Saatchi NY Keeps Plugging Away for Fiber One

Saatchi & Saatchi New York returns with more goofy humor for Fiber One, following up last year’s “Expecting” and “Chew Treats” with the 40-second “Being Irregular is the Worst.”

“Yeah, we know that feeling” begins the voiceover at the start of the spot, as the camera cuts to a man wearing a particularly inappropriate pair of loose sweatpants to a funeral because he’s so bloated he’s “started wearing sweatpants…everywhere.” From there, the action shifts to a bride in the bathroom at her wedding, as the voiceover opines how “When it finally happens, it’s always the worst possible time” and finally, in the most over-the-top scenario of all, to a man who has spent decades in the office bathroom. While not as memorable as “Expecting,” the spot continues with the tone of its predecessors, using its silly humor to attract, and hopefully keep, viewers attention before hammering home its point with the new “Being Irregular is the Worst” tagline. That tagline provides plenty of room for the agency to keep pushing out new material in the same direction, so expect to see Saatchi & Saatchi plugging away for Fiber One plenty more in 2016.
