Saatchi NY Snags Global Lenovo Assignment

As tipsters just informed us and AdAge just reported, Saatchi & Saatchi New York beat out the likes of CP+B and Ogilvy for a new global branding assignment for Lenovo. Still, Ogilvy tells us that its AOR status isn’t affected by the Saatchi win, which came about after a round of presentations at CES. Read more here.

Update: A Lenovo spokesperson sent us a note basically reiterating what was mentioned above. It reads:

“Saatchi & Saatchi has won a piece of business from Lenovo but has not won the Lenovo account from Ogilvy.
We did not put our ad business through an account review.  We were looking for an agency to help us develop
a new creative theme, which is an additional piece of business, and we’ve selected Saatchi and Saatchi for that
project.”
