The week wouldn’t be complete without another installation of spinning door roster updates. This time, we have a full highlight reel of companies preparing for expansion and innovation at their companies and in their service offerings.

Alkemy X

Alkemy X welcomed Ben Benedetti as its vice president of business development. With expertise in post production at Hollywood’s top studios and post houses, Benedetti will work to expand and innovate the company’s VFX scope of work.

AMV BBDO

AMV BBDO welcomed João Paulo Testa as its new creative director. With over 17 years of industry experience, Testa has worked at agencies like AlmapBBDO and F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, where he led creative for accounts like Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin.

Badger Agency

Badger Agency promoted Kristen Murphy and Matthew Scott from associate creative directors to creative directors. The promotions come after the two drove creative with clients like P&G, Olay and Target, and received three Lion Awards last year at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Boca Communications

Jennifer Tolkachev was appointed San Francisco-based PR firm Boca Communications’ new vice president. With over twenty years of experience in digital marketing and communications, Tolkachev will work to improve the agency’s operations and demand generation approach to client services.

Definition 6

Definition 6 made two new appointments to its executive leadership team, with Duc Le joining as COO and Jamie Rosen joining as a board member. Le is known for his transformative work at Edelman and Rosen is known for working with agencies and brands including PepsiCo, Nasdaq and Publicis Groupe.

Dept

Dept hired Pooja Dindigal as its first global impact manager to lead sustainability and DE&I initiatives. Coming from B Lab, where she helped grow the B Corp movement in North America, Dindigal will work with Dept’s B Corp team to refine the agency’s impact strategy.

Digitas U.K.

Digitas U.K. appointed Nici Malamoglou, Daniel Jones and Lisa Robinson as managing partners. Malamoglou will lead the Samsung team within Digitas, Jones will work on a growing portfolio across production and platforms and Robinson will lead customer engagement.

EBComs

EBComs signed award-winning director of photography Gonzalo Amat to its roster. Known for his work on films like “Under the Banner of Heaven,” Amat has received awards and nominations from institutions like Primetime Emmy Awards, the American Society of Cinematographers, the Beverly Hills Film Festival and the Glendale International Film Festival.

Even/Odd

Creative studio and production company Even/Odd hired Justin Lomax as its managing director. Formerly the global head of creative at Square, he’ll focus on strategic company growth by expanding the creative team and director roster and growing key client relationships.

Grow

In the midst of unveiling a complete rebrand, Grow added two new key roles to its executive team. Sarah Ann Walters joined as chief client officer and Anjana Kacker joined as chief operating officer.

HELO

Creative studio HELO has joined forces with Set Free Richardson and named him executive creative director. Richardson is a multifaceted creative with over two decades of experience spearheading iconic and cultural work, including the NBA Play for Change initiative, Compound, the Black-owned creative collective and gallery, and “The Greatest Mixtape Ever,” a just released 30 for 30 documentary with ESPN. Richardson was previously signed to HELO’s directorial roster.

MyPlace

Aaron Zifkin joined MyPlace, the social network connecting friends to share their homes with each other, as president and chief operating officer. Having recently held roles as managing director for Lyft in Canada and regional director of the Americas at Airbnb, Zifkin will work to scale MyPlace’s mission to help people share their homes around the world.

Permission.io

Former Facebook executive Thomas Shin was named CEO at Permission.io, provider of permission-based Web3 advertising. With over 28 years of experience in the digital advertising space, Shin brings expertise in leadership, product management, operations and marketing disciplines that he gained working at Facebook, Yahoo!, Efficient Frontier, MediaMath and a plethora of startups.

Smartly.io

Social advertising automation platform Smartly.io appointed Ryan Jamboretz as its president, commercial and partnerships. Jamboretz will oversee commercial operations for the company to ready it for the future of digital advertising.

Starcom

Publicis Media company Starcom promoted Ricardo Amboage from head of programmatic and display investment to investment managing partner. In this new role, Amboage will oversee investment focused entirely on client Samsung.

Tank Worldwide

Tank Worldwide made two new international award-winning creative hires. Sebastián Benítez González joined as group creative director, and Camilo Monzon Navas joined as associate creative director.

TBWA\Chiat\Day

TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles appointed Bruno Regalo as its chief design officer. Regalo will work to elevate the agency’s next chapter and lead design across the agency’s portfolio, with clients including Behr Paint, DirectTV and Gatorade.

Valtech

Global business transformation agency Valtech North America promoted leaders on its team to executive roles. Mihaela Mazzenga was elevated to chief technology officer and David DeCheser to chief creative officer. The two will work together to expand digital and experience innovation to continue driving client transformation.

Viant

Viant brought in Amazon veteran Dustin Kwan to serve as its first chief product officer. With two decades of experience, Kwan is using his experience bringing products to market to continuously improve customer experiences at Viant.

Washington Square Films

Director, DP and photographer Erik Curtis signed on with Washington Square Films for his first commercial representation. Curtis is known for creating comfortable environment that allow actors to thrive.
