AICP
David Michael González joined AICP as its new director of labor relations. In this role, González will lead the company’s labor relations, provide guidance on labor and employment issue to members and manage negotiations with unions for collective bargaining agreements.
Alkemy X
Alkemy X hired Michael Porterfield as its new head of 2D. An Emmy-nominated VFX veteran, Porterfield has over 30 years of experience working with projects like Netflix’s Don’t Look Up and Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Avocados and Coconuts
Director Jeremy McNamara signed on with creative production agency Avocados and Coconuts. Having worked on campaigns for Clif Bar, Nike SB, California Community Colleges and Taylor Stitch, McNamara is known for a vivid documentary style of filming.
Beachfront
Sell-side ad server for convergent TV, Beachfront, welcomed Marni Rommel to its team as vice president, positioning her to lead the business development team. Rommel will drive adoption of ad serving and decisioning technology, while also developing and managing monetization partnerships with lead industry stakeholders.
Bounteous
Digital innovation agency Bounteous welcomed two new leaders to its team to scale growth at the company. Brian Whipple and Holly Paul both joined the Bounteous board of directors. Whipple brings experience from his role as CEO at Accenture Interactive—and Paul brings her experience from her role as FTI Consulting’s chief human resources officer.
Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners
Butler, Shine, Stern and Partners (BSSP) hired multiple new copywriters and art directors to its team, bringing in its newest wave of young, diverse talent. The new hires will support BSSP clientele, including ESPN, Blue Shield of California and Amazon.
Interbrand
Gonzalo Brujó was promoted from global president to global chief executive officer at Interbrand. In his new role, he’ll be responsible for the overall direction, strategy and growth of the company worldwide.
Journey Further
Duncan Smith joined Journey Further as its new U.S. CEO. Previously the U.S. president and chief media officer at iProspect, Smith will carry responsibility for the North American market and lead future growth ambitions.
Leavened
Adam Rodgers was selected as Leavened’s new president, positioned to lead operations and development for the marketing measurement technology company, as well as spearhead company growth.
McKinney
McKinney promoted both Suz Keen and Lyle Yetman from group creative directors to executive creative directors. The two will work to develop talent, scale the company and elevate agency work in Durham, New York, Los Angeles and Dallas.
Mediabrands
Mediabrands welcomed Anna Nichols as its new chief financial officer for U.K. and Ireland. Coming from Barclays Investment Bank, Nichols will sit on Mediabrands’ UK&I executive leadership board, utilizing her experience working in senior commercial finance roles at Virgin Media, Sky and Channel 5.
Mediavine
Mediavine welcomed Matt Kaminsky as its new vice president of business development. In this role, Kaminsky will identify niches and new publishers as potential leads, while also building out the company’s business development team.
MSQ North America
MSQ North America named Lisa Leone its first chief creative officer. Leone has led creative for companies like Microsoft, McDonald’s, Samsung and Hyatt and at MSQ, will help to offer brands leader integrated thinking to bring them closer to their customers.
Ogilvy
Ogilvy Paris welcomed Elias Zaaza as its new social creative lead. With experience working with brands like PlayStation, Netflix and Nike, Zaaza will strengthen and expand the social team and contribute to the existing client portfolio including Ikea and Atlantic.
Ogilvy New York
Ogilvy New York named Menno Kluin as its new chief creative officer. Recently named the creative person of the year by Campaign magazine, Kluin will serve global and regional clients including Ikea, Nestle, IBM and The Coca-Cola Company.
Quigley
Dan Kohler is joining female-owned full-service advertising agency Quigley as its new executive vice president, strategy and growth. In this new position, Kohler will lead brand and business strategy, agency growth and partnership expansion.
Razorfish
Razorfish has announced three new strategy appointments to advance its business. Nicolas Chidiac will be chief strategy officer, brand and experience, responsible for helping Razorfish clients articulate their purpose and ensuring it is translated across channels and audiences. Edward Gonzalez will be chief strategy officer, performance and experience, responsible for ensuring Razorfish clients achieve their target business outcomes by leading the integration of marketing channels, experiences, and commerce. Josh Seifert will be head of corporate strategy, partnering with Razorfish leadership to steward long-term, sustained growth.
The Distillery Project
Creative and strategic agency The Distillery Project welcomed Eric Cosper as its new creative director. He’ll focus on agency accounts Arrow Electronics and Ferguson Enterprises as well as incoming new business.
The Fantastical
Premium cannabis products retailer Happy Valley chose full-service advertising agency The Fantastical as its creative partner. The partnership will work to create a fully-integrate brand and retail marketing communications program for Happy Valley.
Where the Buffalo Roam
Director Jack Henry Robbins signed on with creative production company Where the Buffalo Roam for U.S. commercials and branded content. Robbins is known for an off-beat filmmaking style that has garnered him success for his work with brands like Hot Pockets and feature films and shorts at Sundance and Tribeca.
Zerotrillion
Sarah Thao Nguyen is joining Zerotrillion as its new creative director, leading design at the agency’s new office in New York. Nguyen comes from previous roles at high-level brands like Google, as well as agencies including Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Ogilvy.
