We’re closing out the week with our favorite new hires and promotions at agencies around the world this week.

160/90 named Jody Friedericks as executive creative director. Friedericks will lead the agency’s global creative team, serving existing clients and working on new business efforts.

62Above chose Alex Herron to serve as director of public relations and social media. Herron will oversee the strategy and execution of integrated public relations and social media initiatives for agency clients.

Basket

Ecommerce startup Basket appointed Lee Lythe as its new chief marketing officer. Lythe will lead multi-channel user acquisition and build out publisher and retailer networks.

Believe Media

Believe Media signed Eli Snyder for commercial and music video representation. Snyder is known for his second unit directorial work on Netflix’s Rebel Moon.

Biscuiteers

Biscuiteers expanded its leadership team as it prepares for its next stage of growth. Fiona Geekie was named omnichannel and marketing director and Abbie Barker was named finance and operations director.

Hedgehog Lab

Hedgehog Lab named Richard Meirion-Williams as chief growth officer. Meirion-Williams will work to capitalize on opportunities gained from the agency’s acquisition of Netsells.

Leith

Leith named Jon Chapman as executive creative director. Chapman will lead creative for the agency’s health clients, including Sanofi, Hoya Vision Care, EFPIA, IFPMA and Worldwide Cancer Research.

Mono

Mono named Sin Liu and Madeline Sanchez as co-heads of strategy. Liu and Sanchez will lead the strategy department, leveraging culture, insights and data for Mono’s clients. 

Ocean Media

Ocean Media hired Matthew Aronowitz as vp, data science and marketing technology. Aronowitz comes from his previous role as senior data scientist at BSE Global.

Omnicom Media Group U.K.

Omnicom Media Group U.K. named Laura Fenton as its new CEO. Fenton will lead strategy, operations and the development and adoption of transformative capabilities for all OMG U.K. agencies.

One Screen 2023 Short Film Festival

The One Screen 2023 short film festival named its jury. Cristo Fernández, who starred as Dani Rojas in “Ted Lasso” is among the film directors, agency creative and production company heads named for the role.

Remezcla

Remezcla welcomed Jemilly Castro as its first vp of strategy. Castro will serve as strategy partners for all brand collaborations, while also playing an instrumental role in business growth.

Sage Growth Partners

Sage Growth Partners hired Jennifer Walsh as its new senior vp of sales. Walsh brings more than 20 years of experience in business development, market research, sales and business analytics. 

SRW Agency

SRW Agency made multiple promotions, appointing long-time team members to C-suite leadership positions. Julie Baker was named chief of staff, Courtney Dixon chief operating officer and Ed Velasco chief revenue officer.

Stein IAS

Stein IAS named Mollie Jolliffe as svp, partnerships and media operations. Jolliffe will work to strengthen the agency’s media, analytics and technology capabilities.

Tactical

Tactical hired Andrew French as its new managing director. French will lead the agency’s teams across all regions, working with industry leading brands like Uber, H&M, Airbnb, Heineken and Audi.

TBWA\Helsinki

TBWA\Helsinki named Alex Pineda as its new chief creative officer. Pineda will lead the agency’s creative work and challenge the status quo of client work.

The Directors Bureau

The Directors Bureau added Sing-Sing to its directorial roster. The pair is comprised of spatial designer Adi Goodrich and film and animation director Sean Pecknold

The Wine Group

The Wine Group welcomed three new leaders to its executive team. Jennifer Evans joined as chief financial officer, Mike Donich as chief operations officer and Helen Kurtz as chief marketing officer.

Unfold

Unfold hired two new leaders to its creative team. Jonathan Guillen was named creative director and Nikki Black was named associate creative director.

VMLY&R

VMLY&R launched a new inclusion experience advisory council. The board is chaired by Myron King, the chief integration officer at the agency.
