Cross-cultural agency República has appointed Anthony Bianco to the newly-created position of executive vice president, general manager. In the role, Bianco will be tasked with managing the agency’s growth while working out of its Miami office.

Bianco arrives at the agency from Naked Communications in New York, where he spent the past year serving as managing director and worked with clients including Absolut, Virgin Atlantic, Mount Gay Rum and eBay. That followed nearly fifteen years as a partner and managing director with Berlin Cameron, working with clients such as Coca-Cola, Reebok, Comcast, ING Direct, Condé Nast, Boost Mobile, Heineken Light, Stolichnaya Vodka, Samsung, and Vitamin Water. Before that he spent three and a half years as an art director with The Magellan Group, followed by three as graphics manager for kirshenbaum bond + partners, during which time he worked with clients including Target, Tommy Hilfiger, Citibank and Dom Perignon.

“As we approach República’s 10th anniversary, we’re thrilled to welcome Anthony to the family,” said República co-founder, chairman and CEO Jorge A. Plasencia. “There’s a seismic shift happening in America as the overall population becomes more and more diverse. From baby boomers, millennials to Generation Z, and all of the rich heritage in between, multiculturalism has become mainstream. Anthony is an impressive professional with first-class expertise who will undoubtedly inspire our team and client partners as he builds upon the entrepreneurial, family-like philosophy that have become cornerstones of our agency’s culture.”
