Red Tettemer + Partners Plots ‘Curb’ Pop-Ups in NY, LA

By Kiran Aditham

With Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s eighth season premiere just days away (Sunday the 10th to be exact), the folks at Philly-based Red Tettemer + Partners are whetting fans’ appetites by planting a “pop-up” band that will spontaneously break out into the show’s opening theme song, “Frolic” by Luciano Michelini, in NY and LA locations from Friday to Sunday. Well, we’ll take this over your usual annoying flash mob any day, and besides, we love Curb, so we’re biased.

Here are the lads rehearsing for the guerilla effort (though if you don’t want spoilers, don’t click), which will take place at Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade and Pershing Square Park in LA and Madison Square Park, Wall Street and the Meat Packing District in NYC. And yes, they will be dressed in signature Larry David garb, for better or worse. We’re already getting neurotic just thinking about it.
