Quigley-Simpson hired industry veteran Carl Fremont as CEO, tasked with managing all aspects of the agency while expanding its data and analytics practice and creative capabilities.
Quigley-Simpson co-founders Renee Hill and Gerald Bagg have acted as agency heads over the past several years, following the departure of former CEO Alan Cohen, who left the agency at the end of 2017 after nearly a year in the role. Bagg and Hill will continue to play important essential roles going forward.
“We’re excited for Carl to join us and bring his wealth of expertise and infectious enthusiasm,” Hill said in a statement. “Carl is very collaborative, and has the ability to bring teams together, attract the best talent and move clients and work forward in a meaningful way. He has the same values that have been the foundation of Quigley-Simpson, and he will encourage and motivate us to think bigger and be bolder, which is a very good thing.”
Fremont joins Quigley-Simpson after serving as president of the Wavemaker-Wunderman Alliance and then leading cross-disciplinary business development and client leadership team at Wunderman Thompson. Before that, he spent nearly five years as chief digital officer for MEC/Wavemaker, following 13 years with Digitas as chief media officer.
“From day one, Quigley-Simpson has been a place that creates dynamic work for brands to express what is meaningful to their audiences, as well as bring together the performance side to ultimately drive business outcomes,” Fremont said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to help scale our offerings with current and new brand partners.”
