Publicis’ Mundocom Adds New York MD

By Kiran Aditham

Publicis Groupe’s global production studio Mundocom has a new managing director in its Big Apple branch. With the addition of David Berney, the firm hopes it not only has a new executive leader for its NY operations (filled with three-dozen staffers) but someone who can bolster its digital production services as well.

Berney does possess some digital experience, having worked as a global client partner of Fortune 500 firms at what is now Razorfish for over six years and most recently spending three as VP of experience marketing and leading interactive efforts in New York for Sapient. Prior to that, he was a senior executive with Delta and spent time in the media and publishing divisions of both Time Warner and American Express. Besides giving Mundocom’s digital unit a boost, Berney’s new gig calls for him to guide existing client relationships (with the likes of Sara Lee, HP, RIM and Kellogg’s), work directly with client executives, and lead new business efforts.
