Project Worldwide Sunsets Los Angeles Agency Pitch, Parts With Co-CEOs

Los Angeles agency Pitch is no longer.

Project Worldwide is using the closure of the Pitch brand to expand the presence of Motive, a Denver-based agency that counts PepsiCo, LVMH, AB InBev, Ram Trucks, A&E and others as clients, in the Southern California market.

Motive will take on Pitch’s client list, including Burger King, Westfield, probiotic company KeVita, and tennis brand Yonex. In addition to Denver and Los Angeles, Motive has offices in New York and Toronto.

“Motive has proven itself capable of delivering against a range of client needs, and their diverse assortment of skills and collaborative culture will benefit the clients they are now adding,” said Project Worldwide chairman and CEO Robert Vallee.

Missing from the merger at HQ are Pitch co-CEO’s Sara Bamossy and Marisstella Marinkovic. According to an internal email (a truncated version below), Vallee said that the duo doesn’t figure in the agency’s future plans, adding that “we wish them well.”

Bamossy and Marisstella have not responded to inquiries about the changes at Pitch/Motive.

Krista Nicholson, Motive’s president, will manage the new operation with help from Evelyn Borgatta, vp, managing director, in Culver City, which continues to see a resurgence with brands like Apple and Amazon adding significant presence in the creative wedge between Silicon Beach, Playa Vista and Hollywood.

“We all know that L.A. is one of the pillars of the cultural and creative worlds,” said Motive CEO Matt Statman. “We are stoked to have a footprint in this market with its multitude of brands, talent, production, technology and entertainment resources. We are excited to be able to engage with these new clients and demonstrate what our expanded capabilities and footprint can bring to their business.”
