Preston Kelly, part of the close-knit Minneapolis/St. Paul agency community, has hired area veteran Jennifer Gove to serve as president, effective immediately.
She brings almost 25 years of experience to the role, much of it spent in account management positions at area agencies.
“I was born into an advertising agency owning family, literally learning the business at my grandfather’s knee,” she said. “This step into an up and coming agency like Preston Kelly is what I’ve been planning my career toward. Preston Kelly’s Iconic Ideas approach and the results they’ve been getting for growth-minded clients is nicely aligned with what I believe and how I like to work.”
Gove previously spent nearly a decade with Olson, most recently serving as VP, group account director. She also worked at local shops like Colle+McVoy and Lynch Jarvis Jones. In the new role, she will lead the team that AdAge named Midwest Small Agency of the Year in 2010 and also handle business development and accounts.
“Jennifer’s fanatical passion for our industry and born leadership abilities make her the ideal candidate to help guide our evolving agency,” said CEO Chuck Kelly.
Preston Kelly’s client list consists primarily of healthcare companies like Gundersen Health System and Catholic Health Initiatives but also includes outliers like Nickelodeon Universe and Minnesota’s own Loon Juice Hard Cider.
Over the past couple of years it has also produced campaigns promoting the local YMCA.
