PODS Names KBS as Creative Agency of Record

Florida-based moving and storage company PODS has selected MDC Partners agency Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal & Partners (KBS) as its agency of record.

PODS spent around $10.5 on measured media in the U.S. in 2017, according to Kantar Media.

KBS will be tasked with creative and strategy across channels and the PODS portfolio, including its residential and commercial businesses. The agency will be tasked with leading a creative and strategic brand overhaul for PODS and developing a new application for the brand. KBS formerly worked with the brand on several projects. Its first work as agency of record is expected to launch sometime this month.

“KBS is exactly the type of smart and strategic-minded partner we need during this pivotal time of growth for the PODS brand,” PODS senior vice president, residential David Redmond said in a statement. “We are very excited to be working with their team and we have full confidence in their ability to help us strategically grow our brand awareness and educate consumers about our flexible moving and storage solutions.”

“PODS is a moving and storage leader with a history of disruption and our goal is to expand that success further. PODS continues to empower millions of people with flexibility and control during some of life’s most important yet challenging moments,” added KBS group creative director Matt Creamer. “Their way of doing business is incredibly human and entirely unique. We’re honored and excited to help define their purpose and look forward to doing great work together.”

Last December, KBS announced it would not be participating in BMW’s creative review. December also saw KBS split with Red Robin and win creative duties for Dean Foods. At the beginning of 2018, the agency parted ways with global CCO Patrick Scissons and decided to eliminate the role.
