Independent technology and services agency PMG has made former Dentsu global president Jon Dupuis its president, a newly created role at the agency. Dupuis will join PMG’s executive team to drive global integrated services, a key contributor to PMG’s customer success to date. Dupuis will help continue investment in connecting full-funnel media, creative, data, insights and technology.

“PMG continues to drive business impact for our global customers by bringing a human and tech-enabled approach to our work,” said PMG founder and CEO George Popstefanov in a statement. “We are committed to accelerating our integrated model in pursuit of transformative results for our brand partners. It is the right time for PMG to add this level of leadership to our team, as Jon will help us ensure that PMG continues to over-deliver for our customers.”

Dupuis’ 25-year career has centered around how creative, media and technology work together to drive success at global brands. He joins PMG from Dentsu where he was global president of dentsu mcgarrybowen and CEO of Dentsu Creative Americas, focused on strengthening the agency’s offerings in 33 offices across 24 countries. In September 2020, he added the appointment of CEO of Dentsu Creative across the Americas, where he united the creative community and brought the superpowers of 360i, Isobar, and dentsu mcgarrybowen together into a more unified offering. Prior to this he worked at agencies McCann Erickson, Digitas and Havas and led his own independent agency, NYCA, which he sold in 2008.

“PMG is a technology-first company that is redefining how brands go to market, from how they’re using data, to where they’re running media, to how they merge strategy, creativity and media buying into an outcome-obsessed approach,” said Dupuis in a statement. “I look forward to helping the stellar team at PMG continue to evolve through technology and lead us into a new era in which tech continues to be at the heart of everything we do.”

Dupuis will start in mid-July and split time between PMG’s Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin and New York offices.

PMG has experienced significant growth over the last year, adding more than a dozen new customers and deepening relationships with its partners including Nike, Lilly Pulitzer, Otter Products, Fanatics, Vineyard Vines and Therabody.
