Pennsylvania’s First Medical Cannabis Dispensary Selects The BAM Connection as Agency of Record

Keystone Canna Remedies (KCR), Pennsylvania’s first medical cannabis dispensary has selected Brooklyn-based independent agency The BAM Connection as its agency of record, without a review.

The BAM Connection will be tasked with digital, video and social media duties, as well as creative strategy, with co-founder and CEO Maureen Maldari running the account.

“We are incredibly excited for this partnership and to tackle the challenges of a new category,” Maldari said in a statement. “We have a wide breadth of combined health and wellness experience, but this is uncharted territory that we’re looking forward to navigating together to help Keystone Canna Remedies achieve their mission of a pain-free Pennsylvania.”

Maldari and The BAM Connection co-founder and chief creative officer Rob Baiocco both have experience in the healthcare category, as they launched Grey’s “Healthy People” division back in 2011.

“The BAM Connection’s innovative yet simplistic approach were extremely appealing to us,” said KCR chief business development officer Victor Guadagnino added. “As Pennsylvania’s first medical marijuana dispensary, we needed a strong creative partner to get the word out about our business, and we think Maureen and Rob’s team will definitely help us to break through to reach our intended audiences in exciting ways.”

The BAM Connections’ first work for KCR is expected some time this summer.

The assignment follows on the heels of another account win for The BAM Connection: Norvatis’ AmLactin portfolio of skin care brands. Last year, the agency added a new video production unit, led by the owner of New York-based production company Fearless Music, Jamie Lamm.
