Group executive creative directors Sam Walker and Joe De Souza are leaving Karmarama, the agency announced in a press release. The news follows the appointment of former Droga5 executive creative director Nik Studzinski as a chief creative officer, effective as of the beginning of August.

Walker and De Souza originally joined the agency in 2010, subsequently being named partners and executive creative directors. They were responsible for the group’s entire creative output, along with fellow group executive creative director Caitlin Ryan, who announced her own departure from the agency last month. While with the agency, the pair worked with clients including Clydesdale Bank, Plusnet, Costa, Virgin and the BBC,with their “God Only Knows” campaign for the latter being named campaign of the year by Marketing magazine last year.

“We’re extremely proud of what we’ve achieved at Karmarama over the past five years,” said Walker. “We’ve done some of our best work here and have helped grow the company from a 60-person ad agency to the 300-strong, progressive and multidisciplinary business it is now. We wish them every success in the future.”
