Publicis Media’s Zenith has appointed Greg Castronuovo as president of its West Coast operations.

Castronuovo left Omnicom’s OMD earlier this year when the media agency eliminated all U.S. regional president roles. At OMD, he served as president of its West region, a role he took on in 2011. During his time there, he worked with clients including CBS, University of Phoenix, Wells Fargo, Hilton Worldwide, Clorox and others.

Based in Los Angeles, Castronuovo will be tasked with overseeing Zenith’s clients in the region and driving new business across media, data, technology and creative. He will report to Solange Claudio, president and chief operating officer of Zenith, Moxie and MRY.

“I am honored to be joining Zenith to lead the business in the West,” Castronuovo said in a statement. “The West Coast is a critically important market for the industry and I’m excited to help the agency continue to deliver on its promise of solving complex challenges and delivering ROI for clients and partners.”

His appointment comes months after Lauren Hanrahan was promoted to CEO of Zenith, Moxie and MRY.

“Greg brings a wealth of experience in critical industry verticals, such as entertainment and technology,” Hanrahan said in a statement. “He has a proven track record of client leadership, business development and operations, and I have every confidence that he will continue to fuel our growth in this key region.”
