Ogilvy & Mather London Appoints New CCO

By Erik Oster

Ogilvy & Mather London appointed Mick Mahoney as chief creative officer, Campaign reports. Mahoney succeeds Gerry Human in the position and will report directly to CEO Charlie Rudd.

Mahoney joins Ogilvy & Mather from RKCR/Y&R, where he has served as executive creative director since August of 2013. Prior to that he spent nearly four years serving in the same role for Havas Worldwide London. That followed around three and a half years as a creative director with BBH London, where he worked with Rudd. He also spent four and a half years as a partner, executive creative director with Mustoes and a year as executive creative director with CDP.

“When I knew there was an opportunity to bring in a new chief creative officer, the person who was top of my list was Mick,” Rudd told Campaign. “He is the epitome of a future-facing chief creative officer – collaborative, channel-agnostic, idea-obsessed and highly ambitious.”
