Obama Campaign Strategist, David Plouffe, To Speak At Cannes

By SuperSpy

At the 2009 Cannes festival, David Plouffe, the campaign manager behind President Barack Obama’s rise to the White House, will be speaking to rapt advertising execs from across the globe. Plouffe is scheduled to speak on June 25 at 10:45 am at the Palais in the Debussy auditorium. Expect a full house since the Obama campaign is being used as a case study in like, every ad agency pitch deck whether it makes sense or not.

Oh and all you CEOs of agencies? Stop writing that marketing book about hope, change and the Obama principle hasta pronto. Plouffe’s soon to be released title, “The Audacity to Win: The Inside Story and Lessons of Barack Obama’s Historic Victory,” will surely do it better.

Chuck Brymer, President and CEO of DDB Worldwide, noted, “Plouffe’s blend of digital and traditional media was spot on and the key driver behind the successful brand story and record campaign fundraising. This year there could be no better speaker and no better event for our multinational, creative celebration in Cannes. We look forward to having David with us in Cannes.”
