Independent creative media agency Noble People hired industry vet Paulo Carvajal as its chief strategy officer.

In the role, Carvajal will take on the challenge of pushing the agency’s thinking, creatively and strategically, and reimagining its output and the role of media across clients including Crowdstrike, Klarna, Peace Tea and WeTransfer.

“I was drawn to Noble People because the work we make here truly impacts culture and our clients’ businesses,” Carvajal said in a statement. “Now my job is to prepare us for the next exciting chapter and to make sure we keep building on our values of collaboration, curiosity and original ideas.”

Carvajal joins Noble People from FIG, where he co-led the agency’s strategy group across the Benjamin Moore, Bowflex and Virgin Atlantic accounts. Prior to joining FIG last year, he spent a year and a half at 72andSunny as group strategy director, leading an integrated team of creative, social and data strategists across the global and U.S. Coors accounts.

An industry veteran of around two decades, Carvajal also served as group strategy director at Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles, where he was led work across Asics and Toyota’s car division, advanced technology vehicles.

Carvajal takes over the CSO role from Todd Alchin, who is moving into the role of chief marketing officer.

“I couldn’t be happier seeing Paulo take the lead in pushing our strategic product to where we all want it to be,” Alchin said in a statement. “He is brimming with experience, thoughtfulness and humanity and we all knew very quickly he was the right choice for us.”
