Saatchi X, Saatchi S… it’s all very confusing. Saatchi X is the retail shopping arm of the agency that uses a technique they call the ‘Shopping Cycle’ to understand how shopping works and helps clients boost retails sales through more traditional means.
Anyway, we didn’t know much about Saatchi X, so we decided to dig to find an example of their work. Frankfurt airport operator Fraport, in association with agency Saatchi & Saatchi X, has developed an awards scheme for all its individual travel-retail outlets. The ShopStars awards are focused on the ability of individual stores to build contact and interact with passengers-which totaled 54.17m last year-and ultimately drive penetration and sales.
The winner of the inaugural 2008 gold retail award was Gebr Heinemann’s Travel Value & Duty Free Shop in terminal one (Schengen) for its Luxury Lounge promotion.
