News broke Friday that Nike would be laying off some 1,750 staffers constituting about 1 in every 10 people that works for the company. Now we’re hearing that it’s more like 2,000 people will be out of work. 250 may not sound like much but it’s certainly a large chunk. There will be 500 from the Beaverton headquarters alone, we’re told.
