Nike Continues to Stand by Their Man

Despite the infidelity and the media whirlwind that ensued, Nike has been basically unfazed by Tiger Woods’ troubles (unlike several other sponsors we know). Not only did they put out the eerie ad during his return to golf at the Masters last month, but Trevor Edwards, Nike’s VP of Global Brand and Category Management, tells Yahoo! Finance, “At the end of the day, he is still the best golfer in the world.” Edwards also commented on said creepy ad featuring the voice of Earl Woods, saying, there is “no doubt” it was “provocative” and “polarizing” but it served its purpose. We’ll take your word for it, dude.
